Hall Rental Statement

1.  Booking Procedure:
To insure accurate communication of information necessary in making your function as successful as possible,
we would prefer to work with one person in the planning of your event.  Cedar Crest must also be notified of
meal selection, approximate number of guests, napkin color, and special room arrangements or equipment
requests two weeks in advance of your event.

2.  Guarantee Policy:
Cedar Crest must be notified of the exact number of guests attending your function by 12:00 noon, eight days
prior to your event.  This number will be considered the GUARANTEED NUMBER and may not be reduced after
this time.  Cedar Crest will set up and prepare for 5% above the guaranteed number of guests.  The guaranteed
number is the established minimum number for billing purposes on all services.  All food and rentals must be
paid seven days prior to the event.  If the number of guests attending exceeds the guaranteed number you will
be charged for each person above that number at the per person price.  If the number of guests exceeds 5% of
the guaranteed number you will be charged 1 1/2 times the per person price and a setup charge may apply.  
Cedar Crest reserves the right to substitute other available food and services if necessary when the guaranteed
number of guests is exceeded.

3.  Food and Beverages:   
All federal, state and local laws with regard to food and beverage purchases or consumption are strictly
adhered to.  All food and beverages must be purchased from Cedar Crest by pre-arrangement with our banquet
office.  No food or beverage of any kind with the exception of wedding cakes may be brought into Cedar Crest
by guests or other invitees.  Leftover food or beverages may not be taken from Cedar Crest by hosts or guests,
& all alcoholic beverages must be consumed within the building.  Open containers or glasses of such
beverages may not be taken out of the banquet hall.  Any guest found with an alcoholic beverage in their
possession that has not been purchased from Cedar Crest will be asked to leave.  Please advise your guests
that in order to purchase an alcoholic beverage they must show ID proving they have attained the age of 21
years.  No ID, no service, no exceptions.

4.  Price Quotations:
Price quotations, verbal or written, are subject to changes due to fluctuations in food costs or
increased costs of operation.  All prices are guaranteed when the menu is set two (2) weeks prior to the event
date.  All food and beverages served are subject to Michigan sales tax and a 18% gratuity.

5.  Closing:
All bands or other entertainers must finish their last set by 1:00 am and the banquet room must be vacated by
1:30 am.  Last call will be given on all cocktail service no later than 30 minutes before the end of the scheduled
closing time.  Cedar Crest reserves the right to control all functions held on the banquet hall premises, and to
discontinue service of alcoholic beverages at any time, if, in the judgment of management it would be in the
best interest of  Cedar Crest and the guests to do so.

6.  Private Property:
Cedar Crest does not allow the affixing of any thing to the walls, floor, furnishings or ceiling of rooms with nails,
tape, staples or any other substance.  The host or sponsor of an event assumes responsibility for any and all
damages to, or loss of property from the function room or other areas of the banquet facility caused by their
guests, invitees, or independent contractors affiliated with their function.  Cedar Crest also does not allow the
throwing of rice or birdseed, or the use of open flame candles, bubbles, glitter, confetti or other similar
substances.

7.  Personal Property:
Cedar Crest does not have space available to store personal property, equipment or supplies belonging to or
rented by the host.  All such items must be removed from the banquet hall at the end of the function.  Cedar
Crest will not assume or accept responsibility for damage to or loss of personal articles or rented equipment left
in the banquet hall prior to, during, or following any function.

8.  Banquet Hall Facilities:
Cedar Crest is available for private functions with seating from 20 to 300 guests.  The possibility of seating more
than 300 exists but special arrangements need to be made.  If you have an interest in seating for more than 300
please let your banquet manager know, so special arrangements can be made.  The rooms are reserved on a
first come , first served basis at the discretion of the rental office based on estimates given at the time of the
initial booking.

All reservations and agreements are made upon, and subject to, policies and procedures of  Cedar Crest and
the preceding eight (8) conditions.
                                    Cedar Crest Banquet Centre Rental Agreement

A non-refundable deposit of $750.00 will reserve the hall for your event.  If cancellation is necessary, $250.00 will
be refunded if another party rents the room for that day and time of similar size and services.  Rental time is for
five (5) hours.  Additional time is charged at $195.00 per hour or a fraction there of.  

Rental time, the first five hours, is $450.00.  If you book your event on a Saturday night, there will be a 175
person minimum with a minimum food charge of $13.50 per person and a minimum beverage service charge of
$750.00.  Special events (those without dinners) will be quoted on an individual basis depending on services
provided.

Three hundred dollars ($300.00) of your deposit will serve as a security deposit once the event has taken place
and will be refunded within two (2) weeks following the event providing that all services are paid for, and that no
damage occurs.  Hosts of the event will also be held liable for any and all damage or loss in excess of the
damage deposit.

                          (All other fees and charges must be paid one week prior to the event.)

Cedar Crest is a smoke free environment.  Smoking is permitted only in designated areas or outside of the
building.

(s) from the choices below.  All dinners include a tossed or Caesar salad, a vegetable, potato or rice, dinner roll
w/butter, coffee & tea.  Dessert choices are available at an additional charge.  Michigan sales tax and a 18%
gratuity will be added to all prices below.  If more than one (1) entrée is chosen the Host will be responsible for
identifying their guests entrée selections per Cedar Crests requirements.  If more than two (2) entrees are
chosen add $1.00 per person.  For salad dressing choices on the table add $.50 per person.  Please ask your

Cedar Crest Has Several Options For Alcoholic Beverage Service to Its Guests

                                              Hosted Bar
This option of cocktail service is used when the host wishes to pay for all of the beverages consumed by
his/her guests.  The total number of cocktails served will be tallied at the end of the evening and the host is
charged for all of the beverages that have been served to his/her guests.
                                                          Cash Bar
This option allows your guests to purchase their own alcoholic refreshments on a cash basis at our standard
drink prices if the host of an event is not providing alcoholic beverages.                                  

                                   Combination of Hosted & Cash Bar
This option allows for the host to furnish some of the alcoholic beverage service and the guests to purchase
additional beverages of their own choice.

The hosted and/or cash bar will be stocked with eight grades of liquor listed on the reverse side.  All drink
prices are listed below.  Draft beer brand selection is at the discretion of the host, wines are chosen by the
house.  A fee for closing a portion of, or the complete bar will be charged if less than a full bar is requested. If
beverage service totals less than $750.00 in sales (Saturday minimum excluded) a bartender fee of $15.00 per
hour per bartender will be assessed.

Cedar Crest reserves the right to discontinue alcoholic beverage service to any group or individual guest when
it is determined by hall personnel  that such service would not be in the best interest of the guest, the host, or
Cedar Crest Banquet Centre.

In accordance with general rules of the Michigan Liquor Control Commission all beer, wine, and liquor served
on the premises must be purchased from Cedar Crest and will be dispensed under the rules and regulations of
the MLCC.  Please remind your guests to bring their ID’s.
